Rushton Hall’s origins go back to 1438 when Sir William Tresham bought the village and started to build Rushton Hall. In Tudor times his grandson, a Catholic, was imprisoned for his faith by Elisabeth I but, upon his release after 12 years, built the Triangular Lodge in 1593 representing The Trinity. His son Francis was involved with the Gunpowder Plot of 1605. Today Rushton Hall is a gracious, elegant country house hotel, set in its own 25 acres of parkland and surrounded by tranquil countryside. Public rooms are grand and high-ceilinged and bedrooms are spacious and furnished in country house style. 46 individually styled, comfortable and spacious country house bedrooms, including four-posters. A mixture of double, twin and family rooms, some with free standing baths and some are disabled accessible.

The Grand Hall has original paneling. The Stableyard Spa is the perfect place to relax, complete with swimming pool, sauna, steam room, indoor and outdoor spa and fitness suite. There is a double treatment room, enabling couples to share the feeling of total relaxation. Rushton hosts weddings, product launches and conferences and is an ideal centre from which to visit the many historic houses of Northamptonshire & Leicestershire.

Head Chef Adrian Coulthard presides in the AA [3 rosette] Restaurant which has a seasonal menu, using local produce wherever possible. A lighter brasserie menu is available at lunchtime and cream teas can be enjoyed daily in the Great Hall. An Orangery Restaurant is due to open in 2016.
