Bought in 1998 by the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire as a sister hotel to the Devonshire Arms, the Fell has been completely refurbished and redesigned by Lady Hartington and reopened in July 1999. It is very different from the Arms. The entrance through the bright and bold bar sets the mood. Adjacent are the relaxing conservatory with superb views and the attractive bistro. Here a simple but imaginative menu provides a delicious combination of the very best fresh produce, with fish and game 'board specials' available daily. Each of the ten bedrooms and two suites are individually and ambitiously designed using vivid colours, and provide all modern amenities.
