The Blue Lion is one of the few inns that is well known all over Yorkshire. It has been extensively and sympathetically renovated by the Klein family and justly has a reputation not only for its delicious food and extensive wine list, but also for its excellent range of draft ales.
Dining is either in the bar, choosing from the blackboard or in the restaurant, enjoying gourmet cuisine. Sunday lunch is especially popular, with the local Wensleydale dignitaries in attendance, or sometimes television stars.
There are 15 individually styled en suite rooms, competitively priced midweek. East Witton is surrounded by stunning scenery with much to do and see locally.
