ABOUT THE PRIORY HOTEL

The historic Priory Hotel stands on the banks of the river Frome in over four acres of lovingly cultivated English cottage gardens with superb views of the river, valley and hills beyond. The modern building is less than 450 years although the Priory’s history dates back much further, for 500 years there were monks in residence and before that it was a convent. Luxury rooms, some of which open onto the river, are either in the main house or located in the hotel’s Boathouse, with its own landscaped gardens. All Boathouse rooms have luxury spa/whirlpool baths. Lunch is normally served in the delightful Garden Room whilst dinner is served in the ambient setting of the Abbots Cellar Restaurant.
