ABOUT MILLER'S AT GLENCOT HOUSE

Glencot House is a luxurious Jacobean style late Victorian mansion nestling at the foot of the Mendip hills where the river Axe emerges from the darkness of Wookey Hole. It is surrounded by 18 acres of graceful gardens and parkland, with the river forming an oxbow around the hotel's own cricket pitch. The garden includes a boathouse, a shell encrusted loggia and reading room. The hotel is packed with wonderful antiques, objets d'art and theatrical delights. Each bedroom is differently decorated in a modernised Grand Epoch style. Books and magazines are dotted around for an idle moment. Dining is a civilised affair in the Riverview Restaurant, candlelit in the evening and with lovely garden views by day. Sunday lunches are also something of an event.
