Site featured in the Domesday Book, the c18th. Gothic building has medieval carvings from Corfe Castle and wall carvings in one bedroom from the 1636 old Palace of Westminster; this historic hotel is set in acres of elevated grounds commanding beautiful Bay views. The 21 bedrooms are stylishly decorated, some have four-posters and spectacular views, as do the reception rooms with their old panelling and open fires. A conservatory extends from the dining room where fresh produce, including Studland Lobster are served in the highly regarded traditional restaurant.
