The Lamb is situated in the attractive village of Hindon, just two miles from the A303 and dates back to the 12th century when it was already a public house. The new owners have refurbished the 19 rooms and attractively redecorated the bar and dining areas. High standards are offered in a relaxed atmosphere. Meals are well prepared and served. The wines have been carefully selected, many of them made by independent growers and rarely seen in UK. An ideal place to stay for a romantic country break, as a base for Wincanton races, a shooting party, or as a journey break to the South West.

The Lamb at Hindon, the renowned historic 17th century coaching inn near Salisbury, Wiltshire, is delighted to announce the £1 million renovation of all 19 bedrooms to boutique hotel standard - with doors re-opening to guests on Monday 7 June. Seven of the rooms have been designed to five-star specification and draw inspiration from Scotland’s leading malt whisky distilleries namely, Aberlour, Chivas, Glenfarclas, Bruichladdich, Glenrothes, Oban and Glenlivet.
