Karslake House is very much in the heart of Exmoor. Originally a 15th century malthouse and later the country residence of the eminent Victorian Attorney General Sir John Karslake.
Homely and inviting, the atmosphere is welcoming yet unfussy. There are six attractive bedrooms with views across the pretty village, the well tended garden or onto the wooded hillsides of the the river valley. Walking, fishing, shooting, riding, painting or simply relaxing, the possibilities are endless and all can be arranged for guests by the new owners the Lyons family.
Breakfast, afternoon tea and homemade biscuits are all available to guests. After a day exploring this very special area, how better to unwind than to enjoy an afternoon tea in the garden or by the wood burning stove in the lounge.
Pets are welcome, for a fee of £10 per stay.
