Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton spent many happy days in the countryside around Cricket St Thomas. Today, guests can roam in its beautiful grounds, which were based on Capability Brown designs. This lovely manor is also home to over 600 rare and endangered animals in the 1000-acre Wildlife Park, offering guests a unique chance to meet the Lemur Wood and Big Cats. Attractions include a Noddy Museum, heavy horse centre and a woodland railway. You can even adopt an animal! Cricket St Thomas was the setting for the BBC serial To The Manor Born and Dorset’s Heritage Coast is only 30 minutes’ drive away.
