The present owners were determined to bring these ‘lost’ gardens back to life and the result is a Cornwall attraction with a breadth of interest all year round: Productive Gardens which provided fruit and produce for the Tremayne family in the big house, Victorian Pleasure Grounds with spring flowering shrubs, summerhouses, pools and rockeries, a sub-tropical Jungle Valley brimming with gunnera and other exotic foliage, woodland and farm walks through beautiful and sustainably managed Cornish countryside, and a pioneering project – the Horsemoor Hide, a Wildlife Interpretation Centre.
The gardens are open daily 10-6 exc Dec 25 & 26. Admission adult £7.50/child £4.
