Besides having written nine popular cookbooks, Rick Stein has made eight BBC TV cooking series which have been sold internationally. His passion is still for seafood. As he says: “Nothing is more exhilarating than fresh fish simply cooked.”. The daily bounty of perfectly fresh fish brought in by local fishermen has contributed to the success of Rick’s Seafood Restaurant in Padstow.
Classes take place in the relaxed friendly atmosphere of the Padstow Seafood School. This Cornwall attratction overlooks the harbour and the estuary. 1,2,4 & 6 day courses are available, from April til October. Instruction and cooking takes place in the morning, leading up to self-cooked lunch. In Rick’s words,” My vision for the Padstow Seafood School was to run a place where I enjoyed cooking... Almost without realising it (pupils) will cover it all from filleting a plaice to stir frying squid, braising brill to steaming sea bass.”
