ABOUT THE ABBEY HOTEL

The Abbey Hotel is in a prime location on the banks of the river Wye, overlooking the ruins of Tintern Abbey. It changed owners in 2002 and has since undergone a continuous programme of refurbishment and upgrading. Over half of the bedrooms overlook the Abbey and these have satellite digital TV, broadband access and power showers in the bathrooms. One room features a four-poster, one a French sleigh bed and both have a double Techtronic massage air bath! The restaurant is designed for all day eating and features a range of Welsh dishes created with locally produced ingredients. Nearby is the start of Offa's Dyke path and there are many delightful walks nearby. Chepstow has a Norman castle and a fascinating museum. A good spot for a break at the gateway of Wales.
