The e-mail address says it all – ‘relax at Penhall’. Rooms are spacious with tempting minibars, superb views of the gardens, and not another house in sight! Built in 1860, Penmaenuchaf overlooks the Mawddach estuary. A ramble or cycle along the old railway line which used to bring visitors from Euston to Fairbourne is a great way to take in this beauty spot. You can then return to the hotel to explore its own 21 acres of terraced gardens and woodlands and admire the sunken rose garden and new trout lake. An excellent centre for exploring Snowdonia.
