Lake Vyrnwy Hotel

The Lake Vyrnwy Hotel sits high in the hills of the Berwyn range, in the midst of a 24,000 acre estate, overlooking the man-made lake, created to supply water to Liverpool in the last century. Built in 1890 the hotel is full of character, retaining the traditional atmosphere of a country fishing lodge.The bedrooms are spacious and extremely comfortable. It is a walker's paradise and many other country pursuits are on hand: fly fishing, game and clay shooting and bird watching to name a few. After a day's activity, you can enjoy the award-winning cuisine, whose emphasis is on fresh ingredients sourced locally and game from the surrounding estate. 2008 saw the opening of the spa with sauna, a range of therapies and treatments including an aromatherapy room, an Arabian rasul and mud chamber, a monsoon shower, a tepidarium, technogym fitness room and an 8-person spa pool, all overlooking the lake.
