Nestling between the Wye Valley and the vale of Usk, the Beaufort Arms has been a coaching inn at the heart of the village for 600 years. In the last century it was a favourite fishing base for several Prime Ministers. For today’s travelers, the Beaufort is ideally situated at the gateway to Wales and the Brecon Beacons, near to Offas Dyke, convenient for fishing on the Usk and Wye or for playing golf at any of the 12 nearby courses. The inn was completely refurbished in 2003, adding elegance and design flair to the basic elements of wooden panelling & beams and Welsh slate floors in public rooms. The ten rooms in the main house are stylish and with every modern comfort, whereas those in the old stables annexe are poplar with business travelers and wedding guests. The ballroom/function room used to be a chapel and is popular for weddings, conferences and private dinners.
