Stonor Park, Nr. Henley
Stonor has been the seat of the Camoys family for over 850 years. It sits in a fold of the Chiltern Hills overlooking its own deer park. The Georgian façade conceals much older buildings from the 12th and 14th centuries, including a Catholic Chapel where Mass has been celebrated since medieval times. The Blessed Edmund Campion sheltered here during the Reformation and penned his pamphlet Ten Reasons here.
