Great Dixter House & Gardens
Built in about 1540, Great Dixter was the home of the late Christopher Lloyd, the gardening writer. It was an amalgam of houses and was re-designed by Lutyens in the early 20th century. The gardens, which featured regularly in Country Life have a variety of pools, topiary and meadows as well as the celebrated Long Border and Exotic Border. There is a nursery and gift shop.
