Haddon Hall
The Manners family have lived at Haddon Hall since Tudor Times. When they received the Dukedom of Rutland they moved to Belvoir Castle and Haddon was empty for 200 years until the 9th duke undertook considerable work at the beginning of the 20th century. The Hall’s Long Gallery and impressive setting above the river Wye have made it popular with film and television producers, Pride & Prejudice and the BBC’s Jane Eyre having recently been filmed there.
