Barnsdale Gardens
Barnsdale Gardens were built by one of Britain’s favourite TV gardeners, the late Geoff Hamilton, who presided over Gardeners World and various other BBC gardening specials for many years. Started in 1984 the gardens include a nursery of choice and unusual plants and include The Allotment Area, the Ornamental Kitchen Garden, the Artisan’s Cottage Garden, the Rose Garden, the Gentleman’s Cottage Garden, the Town Paradise Garden and the Reclaim Garden.
Open Mar, Apr, May, Sept, Oct 9-5; June/July/Aug 9-7; Nov-Feb 10-4. Admission adult £6 (winter £4.50)/child £2 (w £1)/conc £5 (w £3.50)/family (2+3) £15 (w £10.50).
