Isle of Skye,
Viewfield House standing in extensive wooded grounds on the outskirts of Portree, overlooking Portree Bay and within easy walking distance of the centre, has been the home of the Macdonald family for over 200 years. The house has retained many of its Victorian features.
The 10 en suite bedrooms have been tastefully decorated, each in their own style, with several overlooking the bay.
There is plenty to do on Skye; boat trips, fishing, sailing, walking in the Cuillin hills, pony trekking and golf. Visit the otter haven at Kylerhea or visit Dunvegan Castle, home to the MacLeod clan since time immemorial. After an invigorating day your host Hugh Macdonald can offer dinner, by prior arrangement, or can recommend several eateries in the nearby town of Portree.
