Sheltered by gentle hills and with stunning views, this is a place to escape to. The North of Scotland is unique. Its remote and untouched beauty can be best explored through the walks in the surrounding area. Handa Island, the famous bird sanctuary, can easily be visited by boat from nearby Tarbet. There is no restriction on the number of brown trout which may be caught on nearby Hill Lochs. New owners Fiona and Richard are putting their own stamp on Eddrachilles, whilst being mindful not to lose the simple and honest character of this remote small hotel, a former manse in years gone by.
The main restaurant, with original stone flagged floors dating from the 1750's, overlooks the courtyard garden. After dinner, guests can relax in comfort in the cosy lounge or move through to watch the sunset from the sun lounge - we have a particularly beautiful sea view to share with our guests.
Last orders for dinner 2100, later service provided through prior arrangement; bar lunches, fine dining, special diets and picnics available. Everything is home produced with a selection of home-smoked produce. The menu changes daily with an extensive selection of wines, malt whiskies, spirits and artisan beers. The seafood is outstanding and the beef, venison and lamb from Highland farms unsurpassed. The Eddrachlles Bakehouse opens early May, providing quality artisan coffee and home baking in the Nordic-Scottish tradition.
