Dumfries and Galloway,
Craigadam is a small country house in the midst of a 25,000 acre sporting estate. It is an imaginative conversion of 18th century farm buildings which open onto a delightful courtyard. Each bedroom suite has its own front door and theme. Whether it be Victorian, Indian, Chinese or traditional Scottish, each is charming with sitting area and large bathroom. Craigadam is also the family home of Celia and Richard and is filled with antiques, family pictures and fresh flowers from the pretty garden. Guests are treated like old friends, with communal dining around a large oak table. There is a snooker room and open fires burn thoughout. The hosts provide a country house atmosphere with many guests taking advantage of the fishing, shooting and stalking available. Outdoor enthusiasts can also go hiking, rambling, birdwatching or can play golf locally. Celia is known for her delicious cooking and generous portions. Meat and fish come from the estate - game in season and lamb and beef from the hill. Breakfast has homemade jams and compotes. There is even a shop to stock up with goodies to take home as a souvenir of a memorable stay.
The 3 bedroom self catering Cottage is available all year, prices from £300 per week to £665 per week.
