This sometime holiday home, created by Lutyens in 1901, complemented by a beautiful walled garden designed by Gertrude Jekyll, is the sole survivor of his work in Scotland. Family owned Greywalls retains the atmosphere of a private house, which shows in the spacious, airy bedrooms, and the wood panelled library with its open fire. The bar is cosy and the sun room a delight. The acclaimed restaurant serves modern British cooking with classical influence and local produce. The cool green dining-room overlooks Muirfield Golf Course.
From March 2008 Greywalls is available to rent on an excusive basis for golfing, shooting, conference, weddings or special parties.
