Just 17 miles north of Inverness, this architecturally unique country house hotel, centered on two octagons and with 'lying-pane' glazed windows, is an ideal base for touring the Scottish Highlands. You will be warmly welcomed as soon as you cross the threshold into the magnificent hall with its carved fireplace and portrait of Queen Victoria. Secluded in mature woodlands with miles of walking and biking trails, great fishing and free 9-hole pitch 'n putt golf, it is a very desirable location. All the major attractions, including Loch Ness, Dunrobin Castle, Culloden Battlefield are within easy access of the hotel. Chef Gary Kenley has won many accolades for his contemporary Scottish cuisine and offers an extensive a la carte menu for lunch and dinner. There are log fires in the public areas with lots of quiet places to relax and enjoy the spectacular mountain views. Certainly a destination where one should plan on staying for more than just a couple of nights.
You are welcome to bring your pet to the hotel, for a fee of £5 per night.

I could rhapsodise about the Coul House Hotel all day long. We had a wonderful stay. The setting is just lovely and the hotel has it just right in every aspect. 'Deliciously Relaxing' is the perfect description
