Right click on the above file and select ‘Save Target As...’, choosing a location on your hard drive somewhere that you can easily find.
Once downloaded, you will first need to unzip the file. To do this, double click on the file to open it using WinZip and drag the OV2 and BMP image file into the folder you wish to store it. If you don't have WinZip installed, you can download a free version from www.winzip.com.
Connect your TomTom® to the PC using the lead supplied by TomTom®.
If your TomTom software automatically loads, close it down.
Use 'My Computer' to navigate to the folder where you saved the OV2 and BMP files. Select both files, right click on them and select 'Copy'.
From 'My Computer', open the TomTom mass storage device folder (this may look like E:\TomTom, but the drive letter may be different) and double click on the maps directory (this may be 'UK maps', 'Great Britain maps" or 'Western and Central Europe' - it should have other OV2 files there).
Paste the OV2 and the BMP files by selecting 'Edit > Paste' from the menu.
Check that the OV2 and BMP files now appear in the folder.
Choose the option to 'Safely remove hardware' on the bottom right of your screen. Pull the TomTom® lead out of your computer.
Turn off your TomTom® and then turn it back on again.
Navigate to the POI section of your TomTom® menu and select the Signpost POI list.
