Signpost Hotels - Garmin POI

Right click on the above file and select ‘Save Target As...’, choosing a location on your hard drive somewhere that you can easily find.

Once downloaded, you will first need to unzip the file. To do this, double click on the file to open it using WinZip and drag the OV2 and BMP image file into the folder you wish to store it. If you don't have WinZip installed, you can download a free version from www.winzip.com.

Connect your Garmin device to the PC using the lead supplied with your product.

Turn on the device and start up the Garmin POI Loader software. If you don't have this already installed on your computer download the free software from the Garmin web site: http://www8.garmin.com/products/poiloader/.

Once the Garmin POI Loader software has loaded, locate your device (should be automatically detected) and then browse to the location of the extracted data file.

With the folder containing the POI file selected, click "Next" to install the Points of Interest on your device.

Once completed, click on "Finish" and turn off your Garmin, disconnect the USB cable and restart the device.

To locate a Signpost Recommended Hotel, select Where to? > My Locations > Custom POIs and a list of your nearest hotels will be presented.

NB. Prior to visiting a hotel, please call the number included. This is displayed once you select a hotel from your Custom POI list.

If you experience problems please check the following:

Check that you have the latest version of Garmin software via www.garmin.com.

Check that you have sufficient memory for the POI list.
