White Vine House is situated in the heart of the ancient Cinque Port of Rye. The hotel's origins go back to the 13th century. A handsome Georgian frontage has been added since then but essentially the building retains much of its distinguished medieval and Elizabethan character. The beautiful oak panelling in the Elizabethan dining room and the Club Room is amongst the treasures of Rye, dating from around 1560. There are five double rooms (one a four-poster), a family room and one single. All have been refurbished with beautiful period furniture and luxury bath rooms. Dinner is served either in the newly restored Georgian front room or in the Elizabethan Room, and uses organic local produce where possible, reflecting the best flavours and ingredients of this corner of England. You will be well looked after here in this fascinating town of cobbled streets with its medieval citadel, antique and craft shops, and much to do and see in the area.
