ABOUT THE ANGEL HOTEL

The Angel Hotel & Restaurant is a beautiful privately owned boutique hotel that has occupied the same site since the 16th century and borders the famous Cowdray Estate and Polo ground. Lovingly refurbished in 2009, each of the hotel bedrooms has been individually designed and furnished with carefully chosen antiques and quality fabrics. Original Tudor beams are a feature of many of the rooms along with two stunning suites with dramatic four posters beds. Dining is either in Bentley's Grill, serving the world's finest Argentinean steaks, lamb & chicken, or the more casual Angel Cafe.
The Angel is very popular for weddings and receptions in our famous Courtroom, so named as it was formerly the Midhurst Magistrates Court up until 1880. The ornate carved fireplace still bears the Magistrates coat of arms. The Courtroom is also popular for conferences, meetings and private dining and is fully licensed for civil ceremonies.
Nearby attractions include Cowdray Park Polo, Arundel, Chichester, Goodwood, Fontwell, Petworth House, Beaches and the all new South Downs National Park.

  • Rooms: 15
  • Facilities nearby include Fishing, Golf, Shooting, Watersports & Riding nearby.
  • The Angel Hotel is open all year

17/07/2009 (2 night stay): Very friendly and treated as an individual. Breakfasts served fresh and hot delightful service. Rooms at front of hotel can be a little noisy.

10/07/2009 (2 night stay): Very polite and helpful staff made you feel very welcome and would certainly come back again. Thought the food was very good and the young waitress we had was particularly efficient and very eager to please.
