The Pride of the Valley was built in 1867 and named after a local beauty spot. The main body of the hotel was built in the 1920s and played host, among others, to Lloyd George. Under new ownership since 2007, the restaurant has been refurbished to a high standard. The Hotel has 14 individually themed and designed en suite bedrooms, featuring some unique styles of bathrooms including Jacuzzi's and roll top baths. There is wireless internet access throughout. The restaurant provides a relaxed environment with an interesting wine list to explore, and the wooden panelled bar area offers a range of real ales from the local breweries in the area. Wine tasting events are held throughout the year, peaking in September. The large garden at the rear of the hotel, is an ideal place for relaxing on a sunny afternoon and has become very popular for holding weddings and events.
