ABOUT MILL HOUSE HOTEL

An oasis of tranquillity dating back to the Domesday Book

For those seeking an ideal Cotswold country house experience, The Mill provides the perfect answer. Located in Kingham, named by Country Life Magazine as England's favourite village, this superbly converted stone mill is set in ten acres of fabulous lawn gardens with its own trout stream, the Cornwell Brook. The Mill offers luxury and comfort throughout. The 23 bedrooms were completely refurbished in 2008, and have all the modern conveniences. The bathrooms boast luxury Duck Island toiletries, and beds are made up with Egyptian cotton sheets and Oxford pillow cases to ensure a perfect night's rest. The Mill Brook Room Restaurant features accomplished and memorable cuisine distinguished by clear flavours, combining modern and classic styles. Recognised by the AA with two Rosettes, the menu features the best of local and organic produce. The Mill is an oasis of tranquillity in the very heart of the beautiful Cotswolds scenery. Picturesque villages such as Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Campden are within a few minutes' drive. By train, the Mill House is a mere 75 minutes from London, and a chauffeur driven Mercedes courtesy car is available to and from Kingham Station.

16/10/2009 (2 night stay): A really lovely hotel - we had a lovely room with views of the grounds. We could hear the stream outside as we lay in bed which was an added bonus - very relaxing! The bed was very comfortable which meant that we overslept and missed breakfast which finished at 9.30 (maybe a bit early for the end of breakfast for couples on a romantic trip!) We will definitely be returning soon.

21/11/2009 (1 night stay): A beautiful hotel and lovely surroundings, a very pretty village. Reception staff very efficient and pleasant. Only had breakfast which was excellent and again pleasant staff. Had the standard room this time but worth the extra to upgrade.
