One of Cranbrook’s landmark buildings, the George Hotel & Brasserie dates from the 14th century. Today it offers a delightful retreat from the bustle of the city and is a refreshing example of how striking period features can be supported by contemporary décor. The interior is sophisticated, whilst maintaining the attraction of candle lit tables and log fires.
Both period and contemporary bedrooms are individually designed. All have luxury Egyptian bedlinen, flat panel TVs, SkyTV and Wireless Internet Connectivity. One features a hand carved four-poster bed and gold painted ceiling for that touch of decadent opulence.
Bathrooms are quipped with fluffy white towels, bathrobes and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. One features a Jacuzzi bath.
The AA restaurant offers a regularly changing menu, using local produce where possible and a well chosen wine list.
