West Vale Country House

This stunning location overlooks Beatrix Potter’s Cottage, Grizedale Forest and the Old Man of Coniston.  The surrounding area is a potpourri of cultural, historic and architectural gems such as Hill Top, Brantwood, Holker Hall, Dove Cottage and Levens Hall.  Upon arrival you will find a complimentary decanter of sherry in your room. All bedrooms are tastefully and individually designed with your every comfort in mind and where every detail has been carefully tailored to enhance the enjoyment of your stay.  We cater for all tastes and diets on our breakfast menu with the addition of a special a la carte section.  Time at West Vale is unlike time spent anywhere else, no matter how you choose to spend it.  Walking, riding, sailing, cruising, biking, climbing, sight seeing or relaxing with a book from our ‘swap’ library.  You will find us nestled deep in the heart of the Lake District National Park where you can escape from it all and leave your cares behind.
