The Sun Hotel

This newly refurbished Inn with Rooms is conveniently located on the A591 between Windermere and Ambleside.  The hotel, originally an 18th century coaching inn, has a large car park and access to a shared private beach on the shore of Lake Windermere only half a mile away, where fishing permits and launching facilities are available.  Bedrooms have recently been refurbished to a high standard, with wide beds, pristine bed linen, flat screen TV/DVD players, WIFI and a hospitality tray.  Public areas blend the character of the old coaching inn with modern comforts.  The bar has a log burning stove, serves a selection of real ales, has a carefully chosen wine list and a wide variety of spirits and liqueurs.  The restaurant serves a creative and traditional menu, using the finest seasonal and local ingredients.  The Sun is an ideal base from which to explore the picturesque Troutbeck valley and surrounding area.
