10/08/2009 (5 night stay): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hillthwaite, the level of service from all of the staff was outstanding. The food is simply exquisite and our room was very comfortable and well appointed. All in all, it was the hotel that made our stay as good as it was and we will definitely be returning soon. A big thank you to all the staff for making our visit so pleasant.

16/09/2009 (3 night stay): This is a great hotel. Everything you need is here. During my two months travelling through England this was the best value. Great grounds, great view, great food, even had an outdoor swimming pool. I wanted to stay but they were fully booked so what did they do? They found me another nice place and even loaded by bags in their vehicle and drove me there! How's that for service. You will like this hotel!

12/08/2009 (3 night stay): The views are breathtaking and the staff are attentive and helpful. The hotel is just far enough away from the main roads to provide seclusion and peace but just minutes from Bowness and Windermere. We highly recommend this hotel.
