ABOUT THE AUSTWICK TRADDOCK

The Austwick Traddock is a country house hotel surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, located just off the A65 between Skipton and Kendal, two miles North West of Settle.

Jane, Bruce, Jenny and Paul Reynolds pride themselves on their informal relaxed hotel that is lovingly furnished to create a convivial atmosphere noticeable the moment you arrive.

Whatever the occasion from an overnight stay to a longer break, the en suite bedrooms are individually decorated with all the comforts you require, from crisp cotton sheets and comfortable sprung beds to the eco friendly cleaning products. The award winning AA Rosette Restaurant uses only the finest local, organic seasonal products including Dales’ bred beef. There are over 40 fine wines to choose from on the comprehensive wine list and a comfortable lounge and bar to relax in after your dinner in front of an open fire on a winter’s night. Austwick and the Yorkshire Dales National Park offer dramatic scenery and walks. Only a short distance away is the Three Peaks Walk, Ingleborough Cave and of course the renowned Settle to Carlisle railway, where you can experience the steam train passing over the famous Ribblehead Viaduct. The Austwick Traddock is a hotel that once found will never be forgotten.

05/08/2009 (3 night stay): Exceptionally good quality hotel, all comforts provided for a seriously relaxing time. Staff attentive but toally unintrusive. Food and service excellent. Would recommend as a perfect retreat and location of course fabulous for surrounding area and for the Settle railway to Carlisle. All this plus Molton Brown toiletries thrown in!

13/02/2010 (2 night stay): Gorgeous place, in a beautiful setting. We arrived early evening having had a 7 hour journey and were met with the gentle glow of lamps, candles and a roaring fire. Within minutes we were sat by the fire in the lounge reading papers with a gin and tonic!
Thoroughly relaxing time, very cosy place, food was great, room was lovely.

20/03/2009 (3 night stay): This excellent small hotel is a wonderful place for a short break in the coutnryside. Quiet rural location with good walks on your doorstep. The rooms are elegant and beautiful and the service is very friendly and efficient. The hotel has a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and the food in the restaurant is also very good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a romantic break, a relaxing retreat or a warm and friendly base for a walking holiday.
