The Place Apartment Hotel used to be known as ‘The London Warehouse’, a Grade II listed building prominent from the 1840s in the heart of the city. Its interior in Victorian times was dominated my massive cast iron columns supporting large riveted wrought iron beams and canopies. This gave uninterrupted floor space for the movement of cloth in the Industrial Revolution. Today it offers a contemporary alternative to a traditional 4-star Manchester hotel. Apartments, loft-style, each have a kitchen, living area and bedroom area, providing a fusion of the old and new. Recently refurbished, The Place is a City Centre venue equally suitable for a business or luxury weekend break. The Cotton House restaurant is in the same block.
