Situated in the stunning Ribble Valley just 10 minutes' drive from the M6, Susan and Gino Ferrari moved their highly acclaimed restaurant Ferraris of Great Eccleston to this tranquil country house set in 4.5 acres of mature gardens in 1995.
The family run hotel and restaurant has been extensively and sympathetically restored and the gardens feature a dovecote licensed for civil wedding ceremonies. The restaurant features regular wine and gourmet evenings along with theme nights including Murder Mystery and Italian nights.
Each of the 23 rooms is individually furnished and all rooms, from standard to special deluxe, are comfortable with attention to detail apparent throughout. Eight new rooms were added in 2003. There are three ground floor rooms which have facilities for the disabled. Together with their children, the Ferraris pride themselves on a friendly and comfortable atmosphere, whether for business or pleasure. It is evident when you arrive that you will be given the best in quality and value for money.
Parts of the Ribble Valley have been designated as areas of outstanding natural beauty and are a haven for outdoor activities including fishing, walking and cycling. The nearby 70 mile Ribble Way footpath is a considerable challenge.
A few miles to the north, along the Trough of Bowland, lies Dunsop Bridge, acknowledged as being the closest village to the geographical centre of the British Isles.
