Ennerdale is a Grade II Listed building, nestled in five acres of tranquil landscaped gardens, with Italian fountains and figurines. Reception rooms have been refurbished with original fireplaces and ceilings restored painstakingly. Each of the 30 bedrooms is different; four luxury rooms having four-posters and jacuzzis. The Fountain Restaurant, overlooking the gardens, serves an extensive a la carte menu, complemented by a fine wine list. This Western Lakes area is less crowded but is still convenient for the Lake District. The Ravenglass narrow gauge Railway starts nearby, as does the Coast to Coast Walk.
