ABOUT EES WYKE COUNTRY HOUSE

Ees Wyke lies above the still waters of Esthwaite, overlooking the beautiful scenic forest and fells of one of the least spoiled parts of the Lake District. Nevertheless it is still only a short drive and ferry ride across to where the action is. The hotel was once the holiday house of Beatrix Potter, who made the village her home. Your host Richard Lee greets you personally, shows you to your room and makes sure you are comfortable and requests that you come down before dinner to choose what you would like to eat from a small, special set menu. His food is perfection and is served overlooking the wonderful view, all at a very reasonable price. After a comfortable night's sleep, explore the lakes. There is walking, boat trips on Windermere, fishing, riding, golf, sailing and many other activities. Either way you will not forget your stay at Ees Wyke. Pets accepted by arrangement.
