Ees Wyke lies above the still waters of Esthwaite, overlooking the beautiful scenic forest and fells of one of the least spoiled parts of the Lake District. Nevertheless it is still only a short drive and ferry ride across to where the action is. The hotel was once the holiday house of Beatrix Potter, who made the village her home.
