Most hotels with gyms or spas and jacuzzis will also have a sauna. The sauna is a Swedish invention and in the vernacular version, occupants are pushed out into the snow and beaten with twigs. Here it will not be much cooler than a dip in the pool.

Some hotels now have outdoor hot tubs, for that extra bit of privacy. Be careful not to put back on any weight you may have shed in the sauna and gym in the hotel’s dining room. A stiff walk after lunch is recommended.
