The London Boroughs of Kingston, Richmond and Wimbledon are postally in Surrey and several of the largest Hotels in Surrey are in this north-western corner of the county. Cannizaro House (a former Thistle hotel) adjoins Wimbledon Common and is a popular spot for weddings. Following the Thames south-west we come to Weybridge, site of the Brooklands Racing Circuit, on which the supra modern Brooklands Hotel has just opened. The Oatlands Park Hotel, a former Royal hunting lodge and later hospital, is also nearby.
Great Fosters at Egham is one of the oldest Hotels in Surrey, dating back to the 16th century. It is very popular for weddings and is one the nearest non-chain hotels to Heathrow Airport. Its complete antithesis, The 21st century Runnymede Hotel & Spa is nearby, 180 rooms and a large spa (open to outside members) and with conference facilities. Just across the M25 is Foxhills Resort & Spa at Ottershaw, a secluded hotel with spa, golf & tennis facilities. At Bagshot, on the Hampshire border, is the five-star Pennyhill Park, one of the best Hotels in Surrey, with golf course, state-of-the-art spa and award winning restaurant. For race-goers, just a ten minute walk from the racecourse, is the small privately owned Chalk Lane Hotel, Epsom. At nearby Stoke d'Abernon, is Woodlands Park, a member of Hand Picked Hotels.
This 60-bedroom hotel, set in parkland, was once owned by the Bryant family, of Bryant & May (matches) fame.
