Our hotels in the Brecon Beacons are well placed for your exploration of this beautiful mountain range in the South East of Wales.
The Brecon Beacons National Park contains some of the most spectacular and distinctive upland formations in South Wales. Situated amongst hills and mountains, the Park covers an area of 520 square miles, stretching from Hay on Wye in the East to Llandeilo in the West. It incorporates the Black Mountains, the Central Beacons and the Fforest Fawr as well as moorland, forests, valleys, waterfalls, lakes, caves and gorges.
Highlights include the Craig-y-nos Country Park, including the Dan-yr-Ogof Caves, the Taf Fawr and Taf Fechan Valleys. Highest point is the 2907 ft Pen y Fan summit, from which the whole glory of the Beacons can be seen as well as the Malvern Hills and the Bristol Channel on a good day. The area is rich in walks with some of the best being up Llandyfalle Hill & Common behind Felin Fach and the ‘waterfall walk’ to Henrhyd Falls, near Abercraf. Brecon town is dominated by its medieval cathedral and has the Brecknock Museum and nearby the Welsh Whiskey Visitor Centre.
All of our hotels in the Brecon Beacons provide the exceptional standards of luxury expected from a Signpost premier hotel.
