Eddrachilles Hotel
Presbyterian ministers had a knack of choosing perfect sites for their Manses and Eddrachilles is no exception. Sheltered by gentle hills and with stunning views, this is a place to escape to. The owners are enthusiastic about their home and enjoy sharing it with their guests.
Everything is home produced with a selection of home made chutneys and conserves available to buy. The menu changes daily with a wine list of over 70 bins and over 140 malt whiskies. The seafood is outstanding and the beef, venison and lamb from Highland farms unsurpassed.
Bedrooms are freshly decorated and the conservatory has huge wicker chairs in which to relax.
The North of Scotland is unique. Its remote and untouched beauty can be best explored on quiet single track roads, or by one of numerous scenic walks and climbs over beach, cliff and hill, many starting directly from the hotel. Handa Island, the famous bird sanctuary, can easily be visited by boat from nearby Tarbet. There is no restriction on the number of brown trout which may be caught on nearby hill lochs.

Hotel reviews
September 2011 : Eddrachilles is a little gem hiding just out of Scourie with magnificent views of Badcall Bay. The bedrooms are a little retro but comfortable nonetheless, the bathroom could do with some attention, however, it was functional. The conservatory and the views of the bay are to die for and the garden walk very pleasant. Breakfast was good with varied choices, buffet style. All in all a memorable experience.
September 2011 : We had a great stay here - it is old fashioned comfort in deep chairs and accompanied by excellent food - the menu changed every day and was fresh delicious and imaginative and frustrating. Frustrating because there were more things I wanted to eat than meal times! We were made very welcome and I'm sure we'll be back.
August 2011 : We stayed at this hotel for four nights. All I can do is echo the positive feedback from others who have had the pleasure of staying here. The food, the ambience, the hospitality are all very special, in an extremely special location. For anyone coming to this beautiful, remote part of the word it is must.
