Losehill House Hotel
Losehill House is a unique country retreat in the Hope Valley in Derbyshire where service and style are of the utmost importance.
The hotel is furnished in modern style with common areas and passageways finished in solid oak. The beautifully furnished bedrooms including family suites and deluxe Kings, have all modern facilities, including flat screen TVs and DVD players.
Most overlook the stunning surrounding countryside. When we stayed , we were recommended a walk up Lose Hill which affords excellent views and is well signed. This worked up a good appetite for our delicious table d'hote dinner, taken in the Orangery overlooking the valley. Hope Station, with its single track line, provides rail links to Sheffield and the North-West. The hotel is available for exclusive wedding or function use. This is the very heart of the Peak District and the Pennine Way starts near the hotel.
After a day’s walking or sightseeing, why not curl up with a good book or a drink in the Orangery or take a dip in the heated indoor pool or outdoor hot tub? The Spa treatment rooms offer a totally relaxing experience, with a wide range of treatments available. The hotel is entirely non-smoking and children are welcome. Sorry no pets!

June 2011 : Had a good stay here in a modern room. Very good walk up Lose Hill – well signposted, coming back through the village of Hope and up the long drive. Exceptional quiet corner of the Peak District.

August 2011 : Best break I have had in years! I cannot say enough about the hotel an the amenities. My wife and I were greeted by a warm and friendly smile. The room was one of the bst I have stayed in. As I travel all over the world staying in hotels, this is a high compliment indeed. The breakfast was perfect. In whole, I would recommend this hotel to everybody.

October 2011 : We had a six-week old and and a two and a half year old toddler who loved exploring the grounds ‘looking for crocodiles’! The staff could not have been more helpful, the food was excellent, the service efficient but not intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.
