Newton Hotel
Newton Hotel stands in 21 acres of mature parkland and gardens, yet is only 10 minutes form Inverness Airport and 20 from Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands. Overlooking Nairn golf course, host to the Walker cup in 1999, and the Moray Firth, the Newton is the ideal place for guests in search of peace and tranquillity.
Each of the hotel's 56 bedrooms reflect the style and attention to detail which has made the Newton a popular leisure destination for years. Built as a family home in 1872, the Newton Hotel has recently seen a number of improvements, including the addition of the Highland Conference Centre, which can host a variety of conferences and functions.
The hospitality of the delightful town of Nairn is matched by the warm Highland welcome that awaits guests at The Newton.
The award winning restaurant presents the best of Scottish cuisine, with locally sourced beef and seafood a speciality. Less formal dining in Chaplin's Bistro , named after the comedian who holidayed at Nairn for many years. Nairn's wide beaches were a favourite with Victorian visitors. Today's may catch a glimpse of bottle nosed dolphins in the Moray Firth. Also nearby are Culloden, Elgin Cathedral and Cawdor Castle.

Hotel reviews
December 2011 : We stayed in the more modern but sympathetically designed wing of this mansion and again the rooms were well designed, spacious and nice and warm which was well received. Our room also a featured a spotless bathroom with a big bath and a shower powerful and invigorating. Bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and showed just how much well trained staff can turn a nice stay into a memorable one.
November 2011 : Stayed here for one night on business. Hotel in secluded grounds within walking distance of town and coast/beach. Had great meal in Chaplins restaurant and excellent choice for breakfast. Old world elegance with good efficient staff and modern facilities. Will be back next time in the area.
November 2011 : Another great stay at the Newton this weekend. As ever, the friendliness of the staff stands out. Lovely spacious room with wonderful views over the main lawn. Ate in Chaplins restaurant both nights and the food and service were top notch. (Hot breakfasts are cooked to order.!). There are lovely woods in the hotel grounds for a walk or you can head down to the waterfront at Nairn. I will be back!
