Hotel reviews
(1 night stay): The hotel and its staff were magnificent in attending to His Royal Highness The Duke of York's needs. The service was discreet, the rooms most comfortable and relaxing. Stephen Harrison, Assistant Private Secretary to The Duke of York.
Review by Stephen Harrison
December 2011 : On a family trip through England, we stopped here for one night in September and as we drove in my mother immediately claimed, "I'm home". We couldn't get enough of this hotel, strolling through the immaculate gardens with drinks at dusk, celebrating my brother's birthday with a top-notch meal in a gorgeous dining room, and enjoying the handsome decor
December 2011 : We spent a weekend at this hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We arrived to find that our room had been upgraded to a suite complete with a Christmas tree in the sitting room! The rooms were cosy and warm although it was very cold outside. All the staff were very pleasant and welcoming and nothing was too much...
December 2011 : For my husbands 60th birthday we arranged for a private dinner and overnight stay with friends. We had one of the superior rooms in the courtyard. The food was wonderful and the young lady who looked after us throughout the meal was a delight. We returned to the Library for coffee and sweets. We were served breakfast in the Yellow Room the following day and also offered a bucks fizz as it was a special occasion. Thanks to all at Middlethorpe for a really fabulous time.
