Waren House Hotel
Set in six acres of gardens and woodland, Waren House is a peaceful and tranquil centre from which to visit one of this country's most naturally beautiful and historic areas, largely unspoiled by tourism and commercialism. The castles of Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh, Alnwick and Warkworth are all easily accessible. The holy Island of Lindisfarne is nearby. There is a wealth of birdlife along miles of magnificent coastline, particularly at Budle Bay and the Farne Islands.
After a day's sightseeing, you can return to the quiet luxury of Waren House where owners Peter and Anita Laverack and their staff will pamper you. The hotel offers three suites and 12 individually styled bedrooms, including some ground floor. In the evening guests can enjoy a gastronomic treat in Grays Restaurant, a favourite with local and resident alike.Specialising in locally sourced ingredients, it has been awarded.
As you enjoy the hospitality, reflect on your good fortune at having stopped here, rather than speeding by on the A1 without discovering the splendours of this historic region and of Waren House in particular.

Hotel reviews
November 2011 : Wonderful hotel with excellent food and very comfortable rooms and surroundings. The hotel has lots of atmosphere , staff all seem to be local and nothing is too much trouble for them. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and we would highly recommend this hotel for the sheer enjoyment of being well-looked after and totally spoiled. It is well placed for visits...
September 2011 : My husband found the hotel when looking for places with Michelin recommendation. The food definitely deserved it. Room was a good size. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Liked the idea of being shown the restaurant etc. on arrival (after being given time to settle in).
September 2011 : We enjoy our short breaks away and look for hotels with a quiet location but easy access to local places of interest, good food and drink and friendly welcoming staff. Waren House Hotel has all of these. The room was huge and spotless, the food is fantastic and we couldn't wait to see what was on the menu each evening...
