Queens Arms
Situated in the heart of the beautiful Lambourn Valley, with its horse training heritage, fly fishing and game shooting, The Queens Arms offers a warm welcome to sportsman, weekend leisure and midweek business guest alike.
The eight luxurious rooms are named after well known sporting suppliers: Hunter, Holland & Holland, Orvis etc. The largest, Hardy's, has a wet room with roll top bath, other rooms having large power showers. Each company's memorabilia adorns the room, giving each a bespoke style.
All rooms come with sumptuous large beds, big pillows and duvets, reading tables, flat screen TVs and DVDs and wireless internet connectivity. Downstairs delicious food is served either in the bar area or in the dining room. We sampled the excellent fresh seafood platter, served on a slate, and on another occasion fish and hand cut chips, all served promptly and cheerily, and washed down with the excellent local ale.
The Queens Arms can arrange fly fishing on a number of chalk stream rivers, game shooting and welcomes huntsmen and walkers. It is part of Millers Collection with sister hostelries at Froyle and Longstock in Hampshire.

Hotel reviews
September 2009 : Its very easy to find, not 5 minutes from the M4, but in a lovely peaceful location. We stayed in the stable block. The rooms are immaculate - lovely bathroom in particular. Dinner in the restaurant was brilliant.
August 2009 : The boyfriend and I travel a lot around the uk and have stayed in lots of different hotels and the like so I do have something to compare this to. And it stacks up very well indeed.
August 2009 : I have stayed in many of the local hotels etc for sales meetings but they are all very expensive or the service is unbelievably poor - definitely not the case here. Whilst the rooms aren't cheap the whole place is absolutely perfect.
