Walletts Court Country House Hotel, Rest. & Spa
This lovely old country manor house set in beautiful grounds is located just outside St. Margaret's, opposite a Norman church and both sites date back to the Domesday Book. Most of the present Manor is Elizabethan. The Conservatory is a breakfast room with views across the North Downs.
The 17th century beamed, candlelit restaurant is an award-winning gourmets' paradise, which offers deliciously robust and hearty cuisine with menus changing regularly to incorporate fresh seasonal ingredients. The bedrooms are divided between the main house and converted barns, whose comfortably furnished rooms are named according to original usage such as Dairy or Stable. The are four luxury bedrooms: the William Pitt, the Sir Edward de Burgh, the Lord Aylmer rooms and Crevecoeur's Tower.
The Spa consists of the Retreat in the Wood for aromatherapy and relaxation and a Romanesque indoor pool, sauna, hydrotherapy spa and steam room. Walletts' Court today is popular equally with business travellers and for a weekend or Channel-hopping break.

Hotel reviews
13/11/2009 (1 night stay): What a fab place to stay. We were goiong to France for a day trip the following day and had an early ferry, so thought we'd stay somewhere close by for ease in the morning. It was a bit last minute so not sure what to expect as we didn't have any time to read reviews. But what a find!! The pool and steam room were just what the doctor ordered at the end of a hard week and the food was absolutely fantastic. Great bar, very comforting and welcoming. Will definitely stay again
