Drakes
Drakes is at the forefront of the South Coast wave of boutique hotels. It is a stunning small hotel on the seafront, which combines breathtaking design with warm, friendly service and all the amenities to be expected from a top class contemporary hotel.
Many of the rooms feature free standing baths set in front of the large Georgian windows, which offer fabulous sea views and wet rooms for long, indulgent showers. Once in the room, divine cotton sheets and velvet throws cocoon and cosset, deep Vi-spring beds, goose and duck down duvets and pillows, all ensure a good nights sleep.
All rooms have AC, flat screen satellite TV, DVDs, CD music centres with ipod/mp3 docking and free wireless broadband is available throughout the hotel. Their award winning "restaurant at drakes" AA Rosette provides one of the finest dining experiences in the south, serving modern european dishes, impeccably prepared using the highest quality seasonal ingredients. A good selection of old and new wines are available, many of which are served by the glass.
An excellent hotel in this vibrant Sussex "city" - only one hour from London.

Hotel reviews
03/04/2011 (1 night stay): My second stay here and I had a fabulous beach view room with free standing bath on the third floor. They now have 16 car parking spaces in the adjoining beach frontage, which makes carrying heavy bags a lot easier than before. Dinner excellent, with cuisine now taken back in house.

May 2011 : We had a lovely time at this hotel, rooms were modern and the free standing bath in bedroom was a great touch. Staff were absolutely brilliant, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

May 2011 : Possibly the best hotel I've ever stayed at. I'm not a nitpicker but even if I was I don't think I could come up with anything. Will be back for sure.
